Join our wonderful friends and supporters, the Greensboro Elks, for their fabulous annual Gala! This year the event is on March 4th, and the theme is 70's and 80's! See you at the Greensboro Lodge, 2201 W. Cornwallis Dr. Greensboro, NC 27408 at 7pm. Admission is $15; $25 per couple.
We know you're anxious to apply for camper and volunteer positions this summer. Paper applications went out in the mail last week to our returning friends. This is in order to let those who have come before get a head start on applying and securing their spot. (So don't delay returning them!) Electronic (PDF) applications will be posted on here on Feb. 1. New hopeful campers and counselors can download, print, fill out and mail in those forms to apply. On Friday, Aug. 12, Camp Carefree co-founder Anne Jones died. She was at home, surrounded by family, and just steps away from her enduring gift. Our camp family has heavy hearts, but we are warmed by the beauty she left behind and the knowledge that this special women touched the lives of thousands of families.
Services will be Saturday, 8/20, at Stokesdale United Methodist Church.
